§ Mr. Parryasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry when he expects to receive from the Director General of Fair Trading advice on whether the proposed merger between the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company and Sealink is a qualifying merger under the Fair Trading Act 1973.
§ Mr. FletcherThe proposed merger does appear to qualify for investigation under the Fair Trading Act, and the Director General will be advising on the question of reference within the next few weeks.
