§ Mr. LeeDuring the period 1981–83 inclusive there were 130 male deaths from ischaemic heart disease in the regular armed forces in the age group 20–54, a rate of 17 per 100,000 at risk. In the same period in the comparable population of the United Kingdom there were 29,149 deaths from the same cause, a rate of 76 per 100,000 at risk.
