§ The Solicitor-General for ScotlandIn the period to 6 February 1985, 948 persons have been proceeded against by procurators fiscal in respect of offences arising out of the present mining dispute. Owing to the manner in which statistics are compiled, this figure cannot be confined to offences arising directly out of presence on a picket line.
