§ Mr. Maclennanasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what proposals he will make to the European ministerial conference on human rights to be held in Vienna on 19 March 1985 to increase the effectiveness of the operation of the European Convention on Human Rights in protecting the fundamental rights and freedoms of individuals.
§ Mr. MellorThe United Kingdom will continue to promote the provisions of the European convention on human rights by working with her partners at the Vienna conference to further the consolidation and universal acceptance of these provisions.
