§ The Prime MinisterSecurity policy in Northern Ireland is the responsibility of the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland who will undertake any necessary consultations within government, notably with the Secretary of State for Defence in relation to the support of4W the Armed Forces for the civil power. The Attorney-General and the Lord Chancellor are responsible respectively for the prosecution of offences and for the court service in Northern Ireland.
