§ Mr. ButcherCB is intended for short duration two way communication and it is a condition of the licence that the transmission of music in any form is not permitted. The conditions are necessary because the frequencies available are limited and are for the use of all people, for business and pleasure. CB is not intended for broadcast purposes and I do not consider it would be in the interests of CB users as a whole for the licence conditions to be altered in the way the hon. Member suggests, particularly as church services are broadcast on radio and television.
