§ Sir George YoungMy right hon. Friend has received a number of representations about the level of resources for public sector housing. The Government's public expenditure plans allow for over £3 billion of public sector investment in housng in each of the next three years. Local authorities have been asked to concentrate their investment on providing for those people in greater need, including those requiring specialised accommodation.
