§ Mrs. ChalkerSubject to the completion of the statutory procedures, it is hoped to start work this summer on the East Ilsley to Chilton improvement of the A34.
Design of the proposed Newbury bypass, based on the preferred route announced last June, is continuing. I hope to publish draft orders under the Highways Act later this year.
