§ Mr. ButlerThe Ministry provided the Public Accounts Committee in 1981 (ninth report, 1981–82 Session) with an estimate for the Chevaline programme of about £1,000 million (including actual sunk costs and projected costs at September 1980 price levels). On a similar basis, but with projected costs at current prices, the estimate is now about £1.030 million.
