Mr. Dewar

asked the Prime Minister if she will list the matters on which (a) the Secretary of State for Scotland, (b) the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, (c) the Secretary of State for Wales and (d) the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, respectively, answer parliamentary questions on matters relating to forestry.

My right hon. Friends the Secretary of State for Scotland, the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and the Secretary of State for Wales excercise their responsibilities for forestry matters in relation to Scotland, England and Wales respectively. General policy and other questions relating to Great Britain as a whole are normally answered by my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland.

My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland deals with all matters relating to forestry in Northern Ireland.
