HC Deb 04 February 1985 vol 72 cc424-5W
Mr. John Fraser

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will consider requiring local authorities to provide a greater number of sites for gipsies in winter.

Mr. Macfarlane

I have no plans to require local authorities to make varying levels of site provision to meet seasonal fluctuations of gipsy movements, but authorities should have regard to such fluctuations when planning the kinds of sites needed.

Mr. John Fraser

asked Secretary of State for the Environment if he will list in the Official Report the number of places provided by each London borough for gypsies.
