§ Mr. MellorI understand from my right hon. Friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer that the latest figures of seizures by Customs officials are as given in the table below. Information on seizures by the police in the years 1979 to 1983 is given in Table 1.3 of "Statistics of the Misuse of Drugs, United Kingdom, Supplementary Tables 1983", a copy of which has been placed in the Library of the House; corresponding figures for 1984 will be available later in the year.
