Mr. Kaufman

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will publish a statement of, respectively, central Government and total public expenditure on the police, broken down according to the principal items of expenditure, indicating (a) intended expenditure for the current financial year, as stated in Cmnd. 9428, (b) the expected outturn of expenditure for the current financial year and (c) planned expenditure for 1986–87.
