§ Mr. Ashdownasked the Secretary of State for Energy (1) if he will name, list and describe the various categories and classifications used by his Department in recording accidents, incidents and untoward occurrences of varying severity, including events without any radiological consequences, at (a) licensed nuclear sites and (b) Atomic Energy Authority sites; and if he will make a statement;
(2) if he will name, list and describe what information is held by his Department in regard to an event in the nature of an accident, incident or untoward occurrence of any type at (a) a licensed nuclear site and (b) an Atomic Energy Authority site, identifying by name the different categories or classifications of events for which certain information is held; and if he will make a statement;
(3) if he will name, list and describe what information is held by Her Majesty's Nuclear Installations Inspectorate in regard to an event in the nature of an accident, incident or untoward occurrence of any type at (a) a licensed nuclear site and (b) an Atomic Energy Authority site, identifying by name and different categories or classifications of events for which certain information is held; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. GoodladI refer the hon. Member the answer given by my hon. Friend the Member for Croydon, Central (Mr. Moore), to the hon. Member for Copeland (Dr. Cunningham) on 26 July 1982, at column 374. The reporting procedures set out therein apply to both licensed nuclear sites and those operated by the Atomic Energy Authority.
