§ Mr. Gordon Brownasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what arrangements he will make to help with funeral expenses following the proposed abolition of the death grant in April 1987 and before the full implementation of his proposed social fund in April 1988.
§ Mr. NewtonThe new arrangements for funeral expenses from 1987 will be consistent with the approach we shall adopt when the full social fund is implemented, as outlined in chapter 4 of the White Paper.
