§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Secretary of State for the Environment how many planning decisions by local planning authorities in England were reversed on appeal to his Department during the last 12 months period for which figures are available; and how this compares with similar figures for each of the preceding five years.
§ Mr. TraceyThere were 14,150 planning appeals decided in the 12 months between October 1984 and September 1985. Of these, 5,041 were successful. Published figures for the last five calendar years are as follows:
