§ Mr. Chris Smithasked the Secretary of State for Defence what plans he has to test members of the armed forces for the HTLV III virus.
§ Mr. LeeBlood donated by members of the aimed forces for transfusion purposes is screened for the presence of antibody to the HTLV III virus in accordance with the guidelines issued by DHSS. At present there are no plans to extend the screening procedures.
