17. Mr. TonyBanks asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on the recent meeting of Foreign Ministers from the European Economic Community, Central America and the Contadora countries in Luxembourg.
§ Mr. EggarAs I told the hon. Member for Jarrow (Mr. Dixon) on 20 November, the Luxembourg meeting was a practical demonstration by the members of the European Community of support for the Contadora peace process. Political and economic agreements with the central American states were successfully concluded. The European Community agreed to increase substantially aid to promote economic co-operation in the region.
