§ Mr. Chris PattenDetailed decisions on the school curriculum are for the schools themselves, but my right hon. Friend has made clear our view that it is desirable that all pupils should be equipped by the age of 16 with some economic awareness and understanding. We are continuing to encourage the development of links between schools and employers, a process which will be reinforced by the activities associated with Industry Year 1986.
