§ 35. Sir John Biggs-Davison asked the Secretary of State for Energy if he will list the traditional and nontraditional markets, respectively, to which Her Majesty's Government respectively authorise and prohibit the sale of oil from the continental shelf of the United Kingdom.
§ Mr. Buchanan-SmithThe Government expect that oil companies exporting North sea crude will do so in the markets of our partners in the International Energy Agency and in the European Community. This expectation in no way cuts across the maintenance, to the extent possible, of any existing patterns of trade outside these regions. In practice, such patterns exist only with Finland and certain Caribbean destinations.
