§ Mrs. Peacockasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he has any plans to reform section 27 of the Misuse of Drugs Act to allow forfeiture orders for all drug-dealing offences.
§ Mr. MellorLegislation will be introduced very shortly to provide new powers for depriving convicted drug traffickers of the proceeds of their offences. These proposals are designed to remedy the deficiencies in section 27 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 revealed by the "Operation Julie" case.
