§ Mr. Maxwell-Hyslopasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether, in replying to the hon. Member for Tiverton on 9 December that the best means to return France to her treaty obligations concerning her illegal ban on British sheepmeat exports is to draw the French action to the attention of the European Community Commission and to write to the French Minister of Agriculture, he means that this is more rapidly efficacious than imposing an immediate ban on the import of French turkeys into the United Kingdom.
