HC Deb 11 December 1985 vol 88 cc695-6W
Mr. Tom Clarke

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what was the amount of new money that was added by the Scottish Office to the 1985–86 budget of each health board in respect of support finance.

Mr. John MacKay

Health boards have been set indicative levels of expenditure on support finance projects totalling £6 million in the current year. From within that total, expenditure on projects approved before 1 April 1985, amounting to some £2.9 million, will continue to be met from funds held centrally. Expenditure on new projects is to be met from health boards' financial allocations, which include the following sums distributed from the uncommitted balance of the funds formerly held centrally:

Health Board £'000
Argyll and Clyde 110
Ayrshire and Arran 90
Borders 30
Dumfries and Galloway 40
Fife 80
Forth Valley 70
Grampian 110
Greater Glasgow 250
Highland 50
Lanarkshire 130
Lothian 170
Orkney 10
Shetland 10
Tayside 100
Western Isles l0
Total 1,260

Mr. Tom Clarke

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will detail the amounts of money and the project titles, health board area by health board area, that have now been allocated support finance in 1985–86.
