§ Mr. John MacKayPrior to the recent issue of our formal consultation paper, a number of representations have been received on the proposed future funding of the agricultural advisory services in Scotland, including some which recognise that there is merit in the Government's view that industry should make a greater financial contribution towards the cost of services from which it benefits.

§ Mr. YoungerMy Department's consultation paper on the agricultural advisory services in Scotland, which was published on 14 November 1985, has been given a wide circulation to interested organisations within the industry. Careful consideration will be given to all the comments received.
