§ Mr. Dobsonasked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether he remains satisfied that the funds allocated to health authorities in Greater London ensure that the same levels of service are available throughout London.
§ Mr. HayhoeAlthough there has been considerable progress towards achieving equality of access to services, not only in London but throughout the whole country, more needs to be done. The four Thames regional health authorities, who are the responsible planning authorities for London, have prepared strategies, and progress towards reducing disparities in access will be taken into account in considering their plans and programmes.
§ Mr. Dobsonasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the estimated cost of compiling, preparing, printing, circulating, publicising and updating the information package on London's health services proposal by the regional liaison council of his Department; and who will bear the cost.
§ Mr. HayhoeAlthough some preliminary consideration has been given by officials to the desirability of producing such an information package, I have made no decision about it.
