HC Deb 10 December 1985 vol 88 c564W
Mr. Norman Hogg

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will detail the buildings in Cumbernauld and Kilsyth which have been listed as being of architectural or historic interest.

Mr. Ancram

I am arranging to send the hon. Member the information he seeks.

Mr. Norman Hogg

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many acres of land available for development in Cumbernauld and Kilsyth are owned by (a) Cumbernauld and Kilsyth district council and (b) Cumbernauld development corporation.

Mr. Ancram

Information on the amount of land available for development owned by district councils is not held centrally and should be sought from the district council. Cumbernauld development corporation owns approximately 1,100 acres of land available for development, permission for development on about 290 acres of which has been granted under section 6 of the New Towns (Scotland) Act 1968.
