§ Mr. WhitneyProvisionally at 31 March 1985 there were 4,240 residents aged 65 or over in homes registered under part I of the Act in Hampshire. Of these 601 were in the non-metropolitan district of Portsmouth. There are also some residents aged 65 or over in homes for the mentally handicapped and homes for the mentally ill but information on the total number is not available.
