§ Mr. Peter BottomleyThe Health and Safety Commission has already begun work on an approved code of practice on standards of training for gas installers. It hopes to publish a consultative document early next year.
There is a need for an independent, representative body to promote safety in gas installation. I am asking the commission and the current Council of the Confederation for the Registration of Gas Installers to develop proposals for such a body.
