§ Mr. Gregoryasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if, when setting the overseas aid budget for the next financial year, he will make it his policy not to grant aid to those states which export products to the United Kingdom which breach international copyright conventions.
§ Mr. RaisonWe take many factors into account in providing aid to individual countries. The Government are participating fully in initiatives to combat privacy and counterfeiting within the GATT, the European Community, the World Intellectual Property Organisation and the Council of Europe.
