§ Mr. EggarWe are continuing to support the FAO's efforts directed towards the establishment of a multilaterally-based fisheries conservation and management regime in the south-west Atlantic. The Food and Agricultural Organisation announced on 21 November its intention to carry out a study of fish stocks in the area and the impact of fishing. This is an encouraging first step, which we hope will lead to agreement on a conservation and management regime.
