§ Mr. NewtonSupplementary benefit claimants who need to spend extra on heating may receive additional weekly payments known as heating additions. Details of eligibility and of the amounts payable are contained in regulations 11–12 and schedule 4 (part I) of the Supplementary Benefit (Requirements) Regulations 1983, (S.I. 1983 No. 1399).
