HC Deb 04 December 1985 vol 88 cc243-4W
Mr. Roy Hughes

asked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will now approve the application by Wardair to operate transatlantic scheduled services between Canada and regional airports in the United Kingdom, including Cardiff-Wales airport.

Mr. Michael Spicer

To date neither the Canadian Government nor Wardair has applied to operate scheduled passenger services other than to London, Manchester and Prestwick. Bilateral discussions with the Canadian Government will take place in January next, when there will be an opportunity to discuss the creation of wider opportunities for British and Canadian airlines.
