HC Deb 04 December 1985 vol 88 cc231-2W
Mr. Grist

asked the Secretary of State for Wales what progress he has made in the review of major non-departmental public bodies under his control.

Mr. Nicholas Edwards

In accordance with the arrangements outlined by my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister on 19 November 1984, at columns57–58, I have arranged for reviews of all the executive non-departmental public bodies under my control so that the main programme of work will be completed by April 1987. A review of the Wales Tourist Board has already been carried out; and over the next year or so reviews will be undertaken of the Welsh Development Agency, the Sports Council for Wales, the National Museum of Wales, the Development Board for Rural Wales, the National Library of Wales and the Land Authority for Wales.
