The Government will make further substantial increases in their grants-in-aid next year to further their work in safeguarding the natural heritage. The NCC will receive £32.1 million, an increase of £9.3 million and the Countryside Commission £17.7 million, an increase of £2.4 million, subject in each case to the approval of Parliament.
