HC Deb 04 December 1985 vol 88 c256W
Mr. MacKenzie

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will make a further statement about action being taken in Scotland against the spread of Legionnaire's disease.

Mr. Younger

Greater Glasgow health board has acted with commendable speed to track down the sources of this infection where it has appeared in Glasgow, and prompt action has been taken to prevent the spread of the disease there. We shall look carefully at what has happened in Glasgow to see if there are any general conclusions on which further action might be taken to prevent the spread of Legionnaire's disease elsewhere.
