HC Deb 04 December 1985 vol 88 cc263-4W
46. Mr. Canavan

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what subjects he expects to discuss at his next meeting with representatives of the football authorities.

Mr. Tracey

I shall be meeting representatives of the Football Association tomorrow to discuss preparations for the World Cup finals in Mexico next year and the implications of the recent UEFA decision to allow England's participation in the European Nations' Cup in 1988. Discussions on other football-related issues will continue as necessary in my working groups on measures to combat hooliganism and on the financing of safety improvement work. The next meetings of these groups will be early in the new year.
