HC Deb 04 December 1985 vol 88 c257W
15. Mr. Patrick Thompson

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make a statement about progress with council house sales in Norwich during the last six months.

Sir George Young

Progress has been satisfactory. I have had no complaints, in that time, from Norwich tenants seeking to buy their homes.

27. Mr. Knox

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment how many council houses have been sold to sitting tenants since May 1979.

Sir George Young

From April 1979 to September 1985 about 665,000 dwellings were sold to sitting tenants by local authorities and new towns in England.
