§ Mr. TrippierI doubt whether the Government's proposals to deregulate Sunday trading will significantly affect wages and conditions of employment throughout industry. Clearly a greater proportion of retail workers would be working on a Sunday and, therefore, average earnings in the retail industry would be likely to rise.
