§ Mr. TrippierOur main objective is to implement the adult training strategy so as to secure and sustain the skills necessary to meet the changing requirements of employers. We have recently written to the chairman of the Manpower Services Commission to ask for proposals for re-focussing the commission's own adult training programmes to give a sharper focus on the needs of small businesses, promoting enterprise and self-employment and further developing the potential of open learning.
