§ Mr. WhitneyWe collect information centrally about the dates on which closures are approved, but not the planned or actual dates of those closures taking place.
Hospitals for the mentally-ill and mentally-handicapped which have been approved for closure since May 1979 are listed in the reply from my right hon. and learned Friend the then Minister for Health to the hon. Member for Wolverhampton, North-East (Mrs. Short) on 24 May at columns 591–4 and in my reply to her today.
The hon. Member may wish to approach the relevant health authorities direct about closure dates.
