Mr. Fatchett

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what were the infant mortality rates per 1,000 live births for children (a) under one year, (b) under four weeks, (c) under one week and (d) under 24 hours for the Leeds eastern district health authority for 1983 and 1984.

The information is shown in the table. The rates are based on small numbers and are therefore liable to chance variation from year to year.
