§ Mrs. Renée Shortasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what representations he has received since 1979 from employers in private industry expressing their wish for a greater say in the content of postgraduate or undergraduate courses involving students whom they sponsor and to whom they intend to offer an industrial placement.
§ Mr. BrookeThe Department has no record of receiving such representations. The content of courses is primarily a matter for the institutions offering them and employers could normally be expected to discuss these matters with institutions direct.
