§ Mr. Peter Bruinvelsasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many children, social workers and environmental health officers were involved or employed within the county of Leicestershire under the various formulae determining expenditure on grant-aid under section 11 of the Local Government Act 1966.
§ Mr. WaddingtonThe formula arrangement referred to in reply to a question from my hon. Friend on 18 April at columns234–35 related to additional staffing costs which could be attributed to the presence of commonwealth immigrants, but it was not paid in respect of identified posts. In recent years the only "formula" grant which has been paid in Leicestershire has been to the county council in respect of the employment of staff in day nurseries.
