§ Mr. Hancockasked the Secretary of State for Social Services why it has taken two months to reply to a letter of 26 February from the hon. Member for Portsmouth, South concerning the case of Mrs. Julia Hall.
§ Mr. John PattenFollowing receipt of the hon. Member's letter of 28 February I called for reports on the case of Mrs. Julia Hall, who died in August 1982, from the local health authorities. Having received these reports I studied them in detail in order to satisfy myself that the health authorities had answered all the points raised about Mrs. Hall's treatment. I then wrote to the hon. Member on 18 April.
