asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will make a further statement on the future of the pharmacy teaching facility at the Heriot-Watt university.

As I said in reply to a question from the hon. Member for Roxburgh and Berwickshire (Mr. Kirkwood) on 22 January at column377, my right hon. Friend understands that the University Grants Committee has given careful consideration to the points put forward by the university and the Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain at a meeting held in December 1984, but has concluded that no new arguments were put forward that would justify their altering their previous decision.
