§ Mr. Nicholas Wintertonasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what steps are taken by his Department to ensure that none of the material available in schools encourages children under the age of 16 years to take part in illegal sexual relationships.
§ Mr. DunnThe choice of materials for use in schools is the responsibility of local education authorities and schools themselves. However, Ministers hold the firm view that sex education should be sound and appropriate, and we would regard with great concern any instance of the availability in schools of materials of the sort my hon. Friend describes.
