asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many applications for severe disablement allowance have been received from people in Wales; and how many claims have been decided at the last date for which figures are available.

As at 12 March 1,330 claims for severe disablement allowance had been received in the Department's local offices in Wales of which 64 had been decided.
