§ Mr. Bruceasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he has any plans to introduce an initiative similar to REPLAN operating in England and Wales and Northern Ireland to provide educational opportunities for adults for Scotland.
§ Mr. Allan StewartThere are no plans to introduce a similar initiative in Scotland because alternative means of securing the development of educational provision for unemployed adults are available through the education authorities, the Scottish Community Education Council and a range of voluntary organisations grant-aided by the Scottish Education Department.
