§ Mr. Patrick Thompsonasked the Secretary of State for the Environment when he expects to apply section 41 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 to the Broads.
§ Mr. WaldegraveFollowing wide consultation with interested parties, my right hon. Friend the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and I have decided that the executive area of the Broads Authority should be specified under section 41 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 with effect from today. Copies of the instrument of specification have been placed in the Libraries of both Houses. Letters are being sent today by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food to all landowners and farmers in the Broads area affected by the decision.
