HC Deb 17 April 1985 vol 77 c190W
25. Mr. Tom Clarke

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland when he next plans to have a meeting with the Educational Institute of Scotland to discuss educational standards in Scotland.

Mr. Allan Stewart

My right hon. Friend has no immediate plans to do so. It is unlikely that any meaningful discussion could be held against the background of the Educational Institute of Scotland's continuing policy of disruptive industrial action which is affecting in particular reforms of the curriculum and of assessment which are designed to improve educational standards.
